I’m sooooo excited about this week’s shows coming back. Let me break it down for ya….
Tuesday (TODAY) –This Is Us comes back on tonight at 8pm on NBC, Channel 5 for my St. Louis folks. The last thing we remembered was Kate saying she was responsible for her dad’s (Jack) death.

Wednesday–EMPIRE is back! It premieres at 8pm on FOX, Channel 2. I know a lot of people haven’t really been into it since jumping on the Power bandwagon, BUT I still watch it! Before the last season ended, there was a car explosive that Lucious was involved in (set up by Andre). When he woke up from the coma or concussion, he didn’t remember anything! *cues dramatic music* BUT him and Cookie are back together…for now.

Also Star comes back on at 9pm on FOX, after Empire. I don’t watch it, but I’m just informing y’all lol!
Lastly, Thursday–How To Get Away With Murder is back, showing on at 9pm, on ABC, on Channel 12, for my Charter folks. Last thing I remember was Wes body being gone and seeing them showing a play by play of how he died. Please Lordt let that man still be alive because I cried when he died.
I was granted the opportunity to interview two cousins, who formed a music group inspired by eliminating negativity and doing what they want to do—! (Single “Do What I Wanna Do). They call themselves Rxnaways, individually known as B-Wxnda and DoDi.
They’ve traveled to places like Atlanta and California to promote their music and they are the next thing poppin!!
On this day 27 YEARS AGO, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air aired on TV. The “Prince” charmed everyone in the show and was even a successful artist outside of the sitcom.
I wasn’t born until ’91 but I remembered watching the reruns as a kid, once the final season was over. To this day, it’s still one of my early childhood favorite shows.
Shout out to:
Will Smith, who played Will
Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton
Karyn Parsons, who played Hillary
Tatyana Ali, who played Ashley
Janet Hubert, who played the original Vivian
Daphne Maxell Reid, who played thee other Vivivan
Dj Jazzy Jeff, who played Jazz

So I caught the Black Girls Rock special last night and I was so proud! Seeing women that look like me achieve a rare accomplishment, especially from where we started. Their motto is “Celebrating beauty, brilliant and resilience of black women around the world.”
My celeb bae, SZA, started the show out singing Normal Girl, which is one of my favorite songs on the CTRL album.

Then one of my favorite actor/actress Taraji P Henson was the host and started off with a few jokes about hair and how she embraces it and is brave about what she does with. She recently just chopped it off and it looks LOVELY on her!

Lastly, AUNTIE Maxine Waters took the cake with her speech and overall using her platform to be speak up about this “President” of ours.
Here are a few quotes she said last night:
“I am you and you are me. We have power & influence”
“Not only will we resist you but we will impeach you, Mr. President.”
“I don’t care how big you think you are. I care how high you think you are…if you come for me, I’m coming for you!”

Legendary pop singer Prince has passed away at the young at of 57.
It was reported last week by TMZ that Prince was sick with the flu. He canceled two shows on April 7 but on Thursday, April 14, he did a show in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though he was still sick, Prince pushed through his performance and later boarded his private jet. That same night, the jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois because Prince’s illness was getting worse. He went to the hospital and was discharged within hours and sent home.
On Saturday night around midnight or so, the singer popped up at a $10 dance party at Paisley Park compound, where he stayed at. Prince wanted to assure fans that he was indeed alive. He showed off his guitar and piano skills. He told the audience “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”

Sadly it was announced this morning that the singer was found unresponsive at his residence at Paisley Park. He would have been 58 years old on June 7. Rest in Peace!
Now this is what I think is sketchy, how is it that he three celebrities have died in the span of 3 days? We’ve got Doris Roberts, from Everybody Loves Raymond, who passed away Sunday April 17 in her sleep at the age of 90. Then WWE Wrestler Chyna died yesterday Wednesdat April 20 of a “possible overdose” according to TMZ.
I always heard that death come in threes but man, thee deaths are days apart. May all these celebrities rest I peace.
UPDATE: TMZ reported LIVE on their Facebook page at 7:06p that last week when Prince’s jet took the emergency landing in Moline, Illinois and taken to the hospital, he was being treated for a drug overdose (THE DRUG IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME). The doctor there gave him a “save shot” which is a shot that calms you down from the side effects of the drug that you took. Prince was suppose to stay in the hospital for 24 hours and he would have under one condition and that was if he got a private room. There weren’t any private rooms in the hospital so he left. TMZ confirmed their information with multiple sources, so they say. A toxicology report will be performed but it will take two weeks for the results to come back
I will keep you updated and I find out more information.
UPDATE: April 22, 2016: TMZ has confirmed with the hospital in Moline, Illinois that the drug Prince overdosed on, when his jet had to take the emergency landing, was Percoet. So there could have been a painkiller issue related to his death. There is m0re information to come.
