Episode 10 of Episode Talk Up on YouTube

Hey Y’all!!

In this week’s episode, I talk about ‘Tha Carter 5 V” and Wayne featuring Nivea on the album, who so happens to be the mother of one of his sons AND a 2000’s R&B pop artist.

Also,  Kanye was SUPPOSED to drop his Yandi album on Saturday but it never happened, then he goes on SNL wearing a MAGA hat and tries to continuously explain why Trump isn’t so bad—BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Next, Lil Yachty is starring in “How High 2” with a couple other big names.

Lastly, Ella Mai vs Jacquees; “Trip” remix. Who’s version is better?

“Night School” Movie Review

Over the weekend I went to see Night School starring Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart. If you haven’t seen the million previews over the last few months, the movie is about Kevin Hart being a  high school dropout and he has to go back to high school because his job as a top salesman ended, due to him burning down the store. In order for him to work as a financial analyst at his friend’s company, he has to get his GED. But in the mean time, he’s working at fast food chicken spot. His nigh school teacher is Tiffany Haddish and she is TOUGH. She plays somewhat of a serious, which is different for her and I liked that. The story line is pretty predictable, because in the end he gets his GED..after 2-3 times of taking the test.

I feel like the jokes weren’t that funny. Yes, the movie had it’s funny parts but overall, I could’ve waited to see this movie on TV or come out on DVD. I like Tiffany Haddish role more than Kevin Hart because she played something reverse of what she usually does, which is comedy.

I will commend Kevin on producing this film under his HartBeat Productions Company; BUT, to me, he is not as funny as he use to be anymore. Yes, he has legendary jokes that we can still use to this day BUT I can’t think of any recent joke that has been truly funny. I would love to see him play a serious role in an action film, with limited comedy or limited typical Kevin Hart comedy, if that makes sense.

Has Kevin Hart become unfunny? Let me know your thought below!

Happy Birthday Will Smith

Happy 50th birthday to one of the best actors out here WILL SMITH!

I’ve loved him since Fresh Prince Days, to Bad Boys, to Hitch and many more. He’s won countless awards including a couple Grammys.

He’s been such a positive figure since he’s came out. He hasn’t been caught in any scandals. He has a beautiful wife, whom I LOVE, Jada Pinkett; and three beautiful kids Tre, Willow and Jaden. You can tell he’s raised them right, and taught them to be true to themselves.

Happy Birthday to The King of Pop, Michael Jackson

Today is Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday. He was such an influence on many generations, starting from the 1960’s until now, CURRENTLY in music.

He was nominated for 38 Grammys and actually won 13 from 1979 up until 2010, after  his death in 2009.

Michael released 10 studio and even had a role in The Wiz as the Scarecrow, one of the main character (DUH) just in case you didn’t know.

His songs have been sampled by artists like SWV (“Human Nature Remix”), Chris Brown (“She Ain’t You”), LL Cool J (“Hey Lover”), and many more! Just recently, Drake used Michael Jackson’s vocals on his song “Don’t Matter To Me.” The vocals came from an unreleased song from MJ.

Michael’s music is still relevant today as well as his dance moves. He’s influenced artists such as Chris Brown, Beyonce, NeYo, NSYNC, Kanye, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jay-Z and of course many.

May he continue to Rest In Peace and let his legacy live on!
