Blog Challenge Day 24-30 FINALLY!

I’ve been behind guys, I’m terribly sorry.

Day 24: What attracts me, when dealing with love

  • Affection. It’s something about being held, and being kissed & touched in the right places.

  • A sense of remembering things. I hate repeating myself about certain things, so if a guy can remember something I told him and elaborate on it, I’m attracted to that.

  • If you can make me laugh, I’m attracted to your humor.

  • A pretty smile is sooo sexy to me, if you can make me laugh an on top of that, laugh with me and show those beautiful teeth…LORD!

DAY 25: BIGGEST REGRET

I feel like I have so many, but I’ll keep it short.

  • Not blogging while in college. I could have been really big by now.

  • Not taking dance seriously in college

  • Not doing sports in high school.

  • Dealing with F*** boys!

  • Pursuing digital media sooner than now

DAY 26: HIDDEN TALET

I’m kind of good at imitations. Like E-40 (my best one), Kevin Hart, and a couple more lol. I wish I could sing, or paint, but for now, I’m only good at imitations lol.

DAY 27: WHATS IN MY CLOSET

I have sandals, boots, sweaters, sundresses, and UGGS in my closet. I stay in Missouri and the weather here is bipolar AF. I also have a Sombrero in my closet from Chevys lol.

DAY 28: MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT

Hmmmmm, I remember being in 7th grade at my new school. For some reason I carried around this binder with my posters from magazines Word Up and Right On. They were posters of B2k, IMX, and whoever was poppin back in 2003 lol. Well when I got out of class and was walking to my next class, i spilled out alll my posters and people was chuckling and shit and I felt soooooooooooooooo drove (STL Slang). From them on, I never carried around those posters in a binder at school again. I still don’t know why I was carrying it around at school smh.

Blog Challenge: Day 22: Worst Habits

blogging challenge

My worst habits…..daydreaming, losing focus and social media.

I’m currently  at work and I am clearly not working. (losing focus). I lose focus soooo bad, like if I’m telling a story and someone interupts me, I will completely forget what I was talking about.

Social media, I feel, is everyone’s weakness. I’m getting better but I feel like I shouldn’t have to consume my down time with social media.

Blog Challenge: Day 21

What makes me sad…

Death. It makes me sad knowing that I won’t be on this earth forever and what the transition would be like and what Life is like after death. Will I be floating around looking over my loved ones? Will I be born again and coming out of a different vagina and living a different life as a new person? So many questions lol, but overall, death is what makes me sad.

Fear of not having children. It makes me sad thinking that I may leave this world without having children. I want to leave my mark in the world, besides my accomplished work, a child would make me happy. My little sister is the closest thing i have to a kid and even if I don’ t have a kid, I have her. BUT i want like 3-4 kids and the way that women are having fertility issues in this day in age, scares me! Like what is in the water? That scares me and makes me sad.

Not being successful makes me sad sometimes. The thought of failing is sad to me, but I guess it’s the key to success.

Blogging Challenge: Day 16: My Thoughts on Education

featured gif credit: tenor.com

Ohhhhh education you say….

Well as stated before, I have an education, just finished my Masters. The cost of education SUCKS. I understand that colleges are funded by the government and we can apply for some aid, buut then there’s student loans. Like DAMN,  it’s getting out of hand the interest that is accruing even when you DO pay them back. How is it that you have to payback an arm and a leg to student loans  PLUS interest, BUT it isn’t 100% guaranteed that you will get a job after college unless you’re a Nurse, Lawyer, Police Officer or some kind of government official?

I graduated with my bachelors in Journalism. Yes, I applied for jobs months before graduation but could NOT find anything. Some of my classmates found things so I can’t fully say that it’s the degree that I got, but Journalism isn’t the easiest category to find a job in. I can honestly say this, I didn’t fully open my options up when it came to my job selection but I was still looking. I didn’t have a job for 3 months and I ended up at Macy’s for a temp job, then a month later I was in healthcare. I’m STILL in Healthcare but only because I don’t like to job hop, they’re flexible with my schedule, I was able to finish my masters with this job andddddddddddd it pays the bills.

I went back to school for my masters because A) My bachelor’s wasn’t getting me far,  B) Getting a masters puts me in another pay bracket, C) I had time and D) I wanted to further my education. Do I regret getting the Masters, yes and no. Yes, because I realized 3-4 weeks before finishing up that what I want/wanted to do, doesn’t require a Masters degree. Journalism and some media classes on editing and videography could have did me justice for what I want to do, which is be an Entertainment reporter/journalist. I don’t regret it because I furthered my education and I could make more schmoney lol. I’m also the only one in my family generation with a Masters; and 1 of 3 that even has a Bachelors; so to me, in a sense, I have to lead by example. I have a lot of little cousins and I want to show them that sometimes education is your best fit, depending on the career you want, especially if you want to be something bigger than a good ole journalist and maybe pursue being a doctor or lawyer. If you DON’T want to go to college, then you need to find a good side hustle like arts & craft, hair stylist, chef, etc; that’s what I would say to the youth. If you wanna be a doctor, ya gotta take that ass to school kiddo lol. You can’t expect to get far in life without learning ANYTHING. Even if the kids nowadays don’t want to school, they can pick up a trade, which you can do while still in high school and maybe even join the army. I wouldn’t want my future kids joining the army but that’s another topic for another day lol.

All in all, education should be free or AT LEAST cheaper. Did ya know that there are countries in Europe and South America that have free education?

I’m not sure what they are doing but someone in Congress needs to be taking notes. Some people are paying off loans while on their death bed. Something that would be helpful is paying $20 a month before you graduate would somewhat help, but if you aren’t paying the required $600 a month that the lenders want, then you aren’t paying enough and you fall in the “pay hella interest” category. That’s not right. Yes, I do believe that parents should start saving for their children’s education while the kid is young. But then again, life happens and you have to dip into that fund for personal reasons. IT HAPPENS, I GET IT. When I have children, I’m definitely going to be saving but I dont want my kids going through what I’m going through now–paying student loans while interest is still accruing.

All we can do is plan for and hope for the best. As far as the government and lenders…..make that shit cheaper! Y’all killing us out here with these weak methods of paying you off.

Welp, rant over lol.

Blogging Challenge: Day 14: Healthy Habits

featured image credit: credit: applejoan.defiantart.com

Ouuu this is easy:

Three Healthy Habits I have are:

  • Cutting Pork out of my food intake. I’ve been pork free since October ish. It was hard because I LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Bacon but it was starting to become too salty and I already don’t eat a lot of vegetables so I felt like I was putting all grease, salt and fat in me and not having a balance really. Did you know that WHATEVER a pig eats, which is any and everything, that is what is in the food we eat? So from plastic, to mud, boo-boo, insects, etc.

  • I try to not drink soda everyday anymore and try to cut it down to maybe 1-2 days a week. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee Pepsi but it became a slight addiction soooo I had to cut back. If i drink soda, I have to do something mild like a Sprite or Strawberry soda.

  • Lastly, I drink Cranberry juice and Water often to flush my body out. I’m still trying to find the “right” cranberry juice that gets rid of the toxins but needless to say I drink it.
